With a recent wave of commitments that has Dabo Swinney and the Tigers ranked third in the 247Sports Recruiting Standings thus far in the 2025 cycle, Clemson is among the nation’s most exciting teams when it comes to recruiting.
After visiting Buford over the weekend, Buford, Georgia, High Top247 offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs is among the most recent additions, having given his verbal last Sunday.
The fact that Clemson is a unique place is what drew Jacob’s attention.
A 6-foot-7, 310-pound offensive tackle who was ranked No. 123 overall and No. 14 in the country by 247Sports, Jacobs rejected offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, and Tennessee to play for the Tigers.
According to Jacobs, “Clemson is special in many ways.” “The fact that they treat me like family every time I visit is among the most significant ones. No other university has evoked such a strong sense of belonging in me as Clemson has.
The chance to compete for Swinney elevated Clemson to a higher level.
Jacobs stated, “Coach Swinney is an excellent head coach because he builds relationships with each player individually.”
After playing in the NFL from 2005 to 2013, Brandon, Jacob’s father, was a running back for Auburn and Southern Illinois. The New York Giants won Super Bowls XLII and XLVI, while the elder Jacobs was a player for the team.
