The NFL heritage recruit is a significant member of the Tigers’ No. 3 class early in the 2025 cycle.
Clemson is one of the hottest teams in the country on the recruiting trail, with a recent run of commitments putting Dabo Swinney and the Tigers at No. 3 in the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings early in the 2025 cycle.
Buford (Ga.) High Top247 offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs is one of the latest to enter the fold giving his verbal last Sunday after visiting over that weekend.
“What excited me about Clemson is that it is a place like no other,” Jacobs went on to say.
247Sports ranked Jacobs as the nation’s No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 123 prospect overall, and he chose the Tigers over offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, and Tennessee.
“Clemson is special in many ways,” Jacobs added. “One of the most crucial is that they make me feel like I’m part of the family whenever I visit. This makes Clemson a very unique location for me because no other institution has made me feel like this.”
The opportunity to play for Swinney propelled Clemson to the top.
“Coach Swinney is a great head coach because he develops relationships with each player individually,” Jacobs went on to say.
Jacob’s father, Brandon, was a former Auburn and Southern Illinois running back who played in the NFL from 2005 to 2013. The elder Jacobs was a part of the New York Giants’ Super Bowl XLII and XLVI championship teams.
