BREAKING NEWS: Auburn and Head Coach Hugh Freeze wins commitment of Top-Tier 2025 3-star tight end

After attending Auburn’s Junior Day on January 4, class of 2025 3-star tight end Hollis Davidson committed to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers.

On Tuesday afternoon, Davidson declared his pledge in a post on X, the social networking platform formerly known as Twitter.
Tuesday’s pledge comes after Davidson received offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Penn State, all of which joined Auburn on Davidson’s top-seven list, which he announced on January 19.

Davidson also received an offer from Ole Miss on the same day as Auburn’s junior day.

Davidson, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 238 pounds, is the 22nd-ranked tight end in the country and the 42nd-ranked recruit, regardless of position, to come out of Georgia during the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to 247 Sports.

Davidson caught 30 receptions for 436 yards and three touchdowns as a junior at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Ga., helping the Chiefs make the playoffs in 2023. At McIntosh, Davidson also plays keeper for the Chiefs soccer team.

With his commitment to Auburn, Davidson joins the Tigers’ eight-man 2025 recruiting class. Davidson also joins Ryan Ghea, a 2025 3-star tight end who committed to Auburn in November.
