Only a few months remain until the 2023 NFL Draft, and tight end Brock Bowers of Georgia should be chosen among the first picks. In advance of the Super Bowl, the soon-to-be first-round pick is in Vegas and took some time to talk with Mike Florio and Chris Simms of Pro Football Talk. When his NFL future came up during the broadcast, the two asked him where he wanted to play in the league.
Promising prospects are often asked variations of this issue, and most of them steer clear of the subject entirely by expressing their excitement about the chance to play in the league. This pattern was broken by NFL Draft hopeful Brock Bowers, who declared his desire to play for the Tennessee Titans.
Players typically don’t answer this question. Brock Bowers, however, told us who he would like to play for:
Going to see the Tennessee Titans would be fine with Bowers. “I enjoyed it down in the Tennessee-Georgia region. That seems like a nice place to be, in my opinion.
Brock Bowers Describes His Ideal NFL Residence
Although Brock Bowers has a soft spot for the Tennessee region, there are likely other considerations at play in this choice for the NFL Draft prospect. In addition to Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Ja’Marr Chase, former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan is now the official head coach. Bowers would likely welcome the chance to work with a coach that produces such great results from young players. It also suggests that Bowers likes Will Levis, the quarterback in his second year. Though it’s still early to tell if he can develop into a great franchise quarterback, he had a promising first season and might be very successful under Callahan’s coaching.
Although Brock Bowers may wish to sign with the Titans, Tennessee may decide to take a different route in the NFL Draft. This squad may have the weakest offensive line in the league, even if they are in severe need of weapons. The Titans could very easily choose the best tackle still available, with tight end being more of a luxury position. Though the Titans may be his top option, Bowers had nothing but praise for another team.
