On Thursday, CaneSport writer Stephen Wagner predicted that Miami would land two of the top local players in the class of 2025.

The recruiting prediction machine is On3 Sports’ equivalent of a 247Sports crystal ball. Wagner expects the Hurricanes to sign four-star defensive tackle Randy Adirika and four-star running back Byron Louis. Adirika competes for Miami Central and Byron Louis at American Heritage Plantation. Both schools serve as significant recruiting streams for Miami.

Akirika, who stands 6 feet 5 and weighs 250 pounds, is On3’s 33rd-ranked defensive lineman in the 2025 class. Miami has signed top linemen from Central in each of the previous two cycles: Rueben Bain in 2023 and Armondo Blount in 2024.

Louis, who stands 6-0 and weighs 208 pounds, is ranked 16th among tailbacks in the 2025 class. Two cycles ago, Miami signed another former Heritage back, Mark Fletcher, in the class of 2023.

Wagner predicted Louis with 65% certainty, and Adirika with 70%.
