After being thrashed 45-14 by the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round, the Cleveland Browns will aim to make some improvements this offseason. They might aim to upgrade on the defensive line, where they need more support for Myles Garrett.
Veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox is one among Cleveland’s potential targets. Cox has spent his whole career with the Philadelphia Eagles. According to CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin, Cox may need a fresh start.

“Cox lives and breathes Eagles football, having just completed his 12th season with the club. And, despite an otherwise bleak 2023 defence, he appeared invigorated. But it’s time to turn the page in Philadelphia. “What about a reunion with old friend Jim Schwartz?”
It would be unusual to watch Cox in a different uniform after he has grown identified with Eagles football over the last decade.
Philadelphia drafted Cox in the first round (12th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s made it his job to ensure that they don’t regret their decision. Cox has been named to the Pro Bowl six times and made four All-Pro teams. He was also chosen to the NFL’s All-Decade Team in the 2010s and helped the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in franchise history in 2018.

Before deciding which team to play for next season, Cox must first determine whether he wants to prolong his career. There has been some talk that the veteran lineman will retire, but while addressing with media in Las Vegas ahead of Super Bowl 58, Cox said that he has yet to make a definitive decision.
“I’m just taking it day-by-day,” Cox said of his future. “No decisions were made for me. I’m just taking each day as it comes, and whatever happens, happens. Definitely excited to be playing in Philadelphia. “This year was definitely enjoyable.”
Cox, 33, is still a good player, so it’ll be intriguing to see what he decides to do.
