SAD NEWS: Cavaliers Record 14th 30-Assist Game In Win Over Raptors

On Saturday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors 119-95.

With nine games remaining in the season, Wine and Gold now own the longest winning run in the NBA. In its past 18 games, the team has also gone 17-1.

Cleveland’s capacity to efficiently share the ball is largely responsible for their most recent victory.
Against the Raptors, the Cavaliers collectively racked up 36 assists, which tied them for second-most in a game this year. The Wine and Gold are 12-2 in games with 30 assists this season, including this one. It was their 14th such game.

Cleveland had five players with four or more assists. Leading the way with eight assists was Darius Garland; Max Strus tied a season-high with seven; and Donovan Mitchell, Caris LeVert, and Isaac Okoro each had five, four, and six assists.
Early in the game, the Cavaliers took advantage of some excellent passing. The squad hit 13-for-22 (59.1%) from the field in the first quarter, with 10 of their 13 field goals coming via assists.
