BREAKING NEWS: Buccaneers and Gaints in a race over the trade of a young and vibrant QB

Now that Super Bowl LVIII has passed, the 2023 season is over. Naturally, teams other than San Francisco and Kansas City had already started thinking about the offseason before Sunday’s game.

Since the end of Week 18, the order of the top 18 picks has been determined by regular season rankings. The Bears must decide whether to trade away the first pick, start again at quarterback, or stick with Justin Fields for the second year in a row. Caleb Williams is still expected to go to Chicago, even though the Bears won’t give up the top pick for anything.

It will be interesting to keep a careful eye on the Patriots and Cardinals, especially since the commanders are also in a position to add a signal-caller second overall. New England will need a quarterback, but they might not draft one with the first pick. Teams looking to add a quarterback may potentially target Arizona’s position in a trade-up. Blue-chip candidates at wide receiver, offensive line, and under centre are anticipated to dominate this year’s class.

The playoff standings determine the final 14 positions in the draft order. After another Super Bowl participation, the Chiefs find themselves in familiar ground once again, selecting at or near the end of the first-round order for the fourth time in the previous five years. The team’s history with rookie choices has been uneven, but naturally, another standout rookie would aid in its attempt to continue its strong run.

Here is the complete 2024 first-round order, though many selections will undoubtedly change between now and draft day:
