JUST IN: The Rams have two Super Bowls Winners Ranked Among All-Time Greats

The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl on Sunday, and now that the NFL season is over, it’s time to reflect on all the other teams who have won the big game. In a recent article, ESPN’s Aaron Schatz ranked all 58 Super Bowl victors from greatest to worst. The Rams have won two Super Bowls, and both were rated alongside the other former victors.
The Rams’ 2021 Super Bowl victory was ranked 34th out of 58, with three of the team’s playoff victories decided by three points. The Rams defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-11 in the first round, but then won the Super Bowl by three points over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Having saying that, the squad was highly entertaining to watch throughout the playoffs and regular season, as Cooper Kupp was one of the finest players in the NFL. The top wide receiver earned the triple crown, and Matthew Stafford led the squad admirably in his debut season after leaving the Detroit Lions. ESPN put the Rams’ first Super Bowl victory, in 1999, at 16. The Rams had a relatively easy schedule that season, which is why it was not higher. The 1991 Bills had the easiest schedule since 1981, based on their opponents’ average DVOA.
Despite their reduced schedule, the 1999 Rams earned the nickname “Greatest Show on Turf” for a reason. Kurt Warner, the Hall of Fame field commander, was tossing the ball to the electrifying wide receiver combination of Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt, and there wasn’t much else the teas could do.
