Lake Minneola (Fla.) 2026 offensive lineman Chancellor Barclay has made three trips to the University of Florida in the last year. He originally came to camp last summer for Friday Night Lights and left with an offer from the coaching staff. He’s also been to a game inside The Swamp, but his most recent trip was for Junior Day last month, and it was the most comprehensive look of the UF campus as a whole he’s had.
During his most recent tour, he was shocked by how many resources were accessible to the team’s players.
“It was great,” Barclay remarked of his visit. “The most important thing I noticed, and not just me, but my mother, was the player’s improvement. Not only may they help you develop physically on the field, but also emotionally, educationally, and socially. They truly have a spot for everything. They have an entire building for academics and such. There are instructors available, even if you don’t need them. They include rehabilitation places to keep your body in good condition. If you ever need to speak with someone there, they have an entire program dedicated to that. Sometimes you think of Florida as a destination for football, but it has everything you could desire. These are the things that stood out to my mother. Especially the academic side, because she’s a teacher and takes it very seriously.”
