Fans, media, and teams share the practice of comparing NFL draft hopefuls to current/former players. As the Cleveland Browns consider adding another receiver in this year’s draft, former Browns receiver Travis Benjamin has emerged as a comparison for Texas Longhorns wide receiver Xavier Worthy.
Benjamin recorded over 200 receptions, 3,100 yards, and 19 touchdowns during his nine seasons in the NFL. With that output, the speedster would be regarded as a decent to excellent fourth-round pick.
Worthy had 75 receptions for more than 1,000 yards and five touchdowns for the Longhorns last season. The 6’1″ receiver is small in stature but makes up for it with his speed. While his game has limitations, Worthy is likely to be picked in the second round or earlier.
