On Sunday afternoon, an out-of-state recruit committed to the Florida Gators, giving the team a significant offensive line boost.
Offensive lineman Peyton Joseph (6-4, 305, Warner Robins, GA, Houston County) chose Florida over Florida State and Georgia Tech.
Joseph was last in Gainesville earlier this month when the Gators received their final visit, and he has already visited campus several times.
The Georgia native has developed a positive relationship with the Gators’ coaching staff, notably offensive line coach Rob Sale, who has informed him that he is required on the line.
According to Sale and head coach Billy Napier, Joseph will play on the interior of the Gators’ offensive line.
The offensive lineman also qualified for the 3A regional competition in track, throwing the shot put.
