Mason Posa reported an offer from Alabama football on Saturday after speaking with the Crimson Tide’s General Manager, Courtney Morgan.
Posa is a graduate of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Most recruiting sites rank him as a four-star linebacker prospect for 2025.
The junior told Touchdown Alabama that an offer from the Tide is significant for him given the program’s previous success.
“It means a lot,” Posa explained. “They’ve been big dogs forever and just getting an offer like this means the world to me.”
Posa has previous and positive relationships with Morgan, Kalen DeBoer, and other Alabama staff members. The four-star believes DeBoer will perform well in Tuscaloosa.
“I think he is a great coach and is going to build a great program,” he stated.
Posa, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds, works hard to play football. He plays sideline to sideline with excellent backside pursuit, and he displays impressive athleticism when dropping back in coverage. The new Alabama target is effective regardless of where he lines up on defence.
“I think I just have a nose for the football,” Posa remarked. “I can play from wherever on the pitch. I definitely think that is my strongest strength, but what I am most proud of is my effort since I run 100 miles per hour all the time.”
