NFL MOCK DRAFT: Denver Broncos Make an Intriguing Selection as they badly need a quarterback who will take over Wilson’s mantle under center.

Everyone and their mother can tell that the Denver Broncos desperately need a quarterback, as Sean Payton’s connection with Russell Wilson has virtually secured Wilson’s departure from the franchise.

Many Broncos fans are now wondering which player will most likely take over Wilson’s role under centre. While the team has not indicated which path they intend to go, it is evident that they are looking for a good quarterback.
The NFL Draft is one option, and according to one mock draft, the team will select a quarterback in an unusual position.

Mock draft suggests the Denver Broncos will select Spencer Rattler in later rounds.
According to Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath, Curt Popejoy of Draft Wire expects the Broncos will draft South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler in the third round.
While it may appear weird, the logic behind the pick demonstrates that the late selection was chosen due to necessity rather than a lack of suitable alternatives:
According to Popejoy’s mock draft, the Broncos will select Alabama pass rusher Dallas Turner in the first round. Denver will have to wait until the third round to re-enter the draft.

The Broncos select Spencer Rattler, a quarterback from South Carolina, in the third round. Michael Penix (No. 39), Bo Nix (No. 42), J.J. McCarthy (No. 43), and Michael Pratt (No. 74) are the other quarterbacks chosen between the Turner (No. 12) and Rattler (No. 76) picks.

Rattler, who rose to notoriety as one of the heroes of QB1: Beyond the Lights Season 3, had a strong year with the Gamecocks to cap off his college career. He has 3186 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, and a passer rating of 147.7 in 12 starts.
If Payton chooses him as the best quarterback remaining in the draft, he must recognize that he will enter as a project quarterback and will not have the best start to his career. However, if he can work effectively with his colleagues and coach, he will achieve enormous success.
