The Atlanta Falcons have many options for the 2024 offseason. Since it has become evident that they will be looking for a new quarterback for next season, their fans are waiting with bated breath to see what strategy they will use in selecting a signal caller.
While the 2024 class boasts one of the best crop of rookie quarterbacks in recent memory, the Falcons may choose to pursue a more proven quarterback in order to rapidly gain relevance in the NFC South. One of the quarterbacks they can sign can immediately fit in with them if his contract situation with his current team does not work out.
Bijan Robinson wants Kirk Cousins to play for the Atlanta Falcons.
Bijan Robinson, who had a tremendous rookie season with the Falcons, was asked about the potential of having a seasoned quarterback like Kirk Cousins throw passes to him and his teammates. He answered the question with unexpected candour.
During his introduction press conference, Raheem Morris stated that “anything is possible” in terms of who may replace Desmond Ridder at quarterback in 2024. The former Cincinnati superstar had a poor first full season as the starting quarterback, throwing for 2836 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 15 games.
Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins had another solid season with the Vikings before being sidelined with a season-ending injury against the Packers. The Michigan State graduate completed his 12th NFL season with 2331 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions.
While Cousins’ status with the Vikings remains uncertain, it will give the Falcons significant power if they decide to sign him. They have a good offence that can provide Cousins with the weapons he needs to succeed in the NFC.
