Most people, with the exception of a few simple-minded people, would love to trade up for one of the top three draft prospects, but Atlanta is unlikely to have the opportunity because many believe Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels will be the first three picks by the Bears, Commanders, and Patriots.
This is where the possibilities become controversial. If you ask some, Justin Fields is by far the best option. They would have a case, too. The Georgia native raises the idea of the Falcons landing their franchise quarterback.
He oozes with talent. The expectation is that Atlanta’s offensive coordinator, Zac Robinson, paired with a strong offensive line and skill group — something Fields lacked in Chicago — can help him reach his full potential. However, the opposing side of the argument contends that his lack of development, contract, and trade compensation are all exceedingly undesirable.
Some people adore the notion of Kirk Cousins. The veteran is the most coveted quarterback option for teams looking to contend in 2024. For Falcons supporters who enjoy the thought of signing Cousins in free agency, the appeal is clear: Atlanta would be competitive as possible.
