HUGE PROBLEM:Ex-Michigan Star Defensive Tackle Mazi Smith Accidentally Sold Team’s Key Property which is Link to Team Success

Mazi Smith, a former Michigan defensive tackle, was an absolute sensation during his four seasons with the Wolverines.

Smith redshirted in 2019 and had an up-and-down 2020 season before becoming a starter in 2021 and eventually earning first-team All-Big Ten honours in 2022. Months later, the Dallas Cowboys selected him in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Smith’s first year in Dallas was difficult, and he is now under much more scrutiny as a result of an unintentional lapse concerning a Michigan game plan.

Mazi Smith accidentally sold the Michigan Playbook in an unused storage unit.
TikTok user @VBroadwayFinds is a reseller who buys storage units and resells their contents. He’s like the show Storage Wars, except for Generation Z.

Broadway shared a video on Friday morning of a storage unit he purchased after seeing a plethora of Michigan Football team-issued stuff.

He displays numerous pairs of cleats before mentioning that one of the items in the storage container was a defensive playbook from the 2022 Michigan Wolverines team.

Yikes.

Playbooks and terminology change on a regular basis. Former Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter has followed Jim Harbaugh to the Los Angeles Chargers. As a result, any club looking for inside information would be unlikely to benefit from the playbook.

However, that is hardly the type of thing Michigan would want floating around out there.

Coincidentally, the storage container also had a massive gun safe. This is important since Smith was arrested for possessing an illegally concealed handgun during his senior year with the Wolverines.

Other goods in the unit were multiple cartons of Legos, high-end apparel and accessories, and an excessive amount of Michigan stuff.

Broadway alleges that he paid $1,880 for the unit. However, the contents far exceed that amount in worth.

We can only think how much it would have been worth if one of Michigan’s rivals still used that playbook.
