It’s also difficult to fathom this trade from the Bears’ perspective, given that Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze was still on the board in this mock when they opted to make the large drop all the way to the No. 20 pick. Whether they keep Fields or spend the first selection on USC quarterback Caleb Williams (as they do in this scenario), the opportunity to add another exceptional pass-catcher to combine with D.J. Moore would be more important than whatever the Steelers would give them in exchange for trading down.
