JUST IN: Browns GM reveals browns are on the verge of signing a blockbuster deal of $83 Million with WR After Bengals Lock Up Tee Higgins

There are a few roster openings that the Cleveland Browns might address in free agency, but finding a wide receiver to partner with Amari Cooper is probably the most pressing.

The franchise gambled $230 million on Deshaun Watson, and after two years, that bet is definitely a loser. The only way to transform that into a win is to get the quarterback healthy and then add another major playmaking threat to form a three-headed monster in the passing game with Cooper and Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku.

Tennessee Titans: Bengals WR Tee Higgins no longer a free-agent option

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com made a compelling argument for the Browns to pursue Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if he becomes available. If the Buccaneers do not extend or franchise tag Evans by March 13, he will become available for free agency.
“I would go out and I would break the bank for a Mike Evans or a Tee Higgins or another big-name, big-game wide receiver,” Cabot told ESPN. “I don’t necessarily think that they feel that way, but I certainly feel that way.”

Cabot also stated that she believes the team should have signed DeAndre Hopkins last year and suggested making a trade for a wideout if the Browns are unable to acquire the ideal player through free agency.

“I think they need to go for it in the wide receiver department, either make a trade or sign one of the receivers that might come available,” Cabot said. “Now these men might not be on the market. It’s unclear whether Mike Evans will enter the market. “I’d do anything to get one of these wide receivers.”
