BREAKING NEWS: Bears owner’s decision Amid Potential Justin Fields Trade and No. 1star pick

Some people believe that the Chicago Bears have an easy choice to make.

It has been a long time since the top prospect in its class has been so much ahead of the rest of the field, and they will get the top choice for the second straight season.
From a football standpoint, USC standout Caleb Williams appears to be a can’t-miss kind of talent, and the Bears could certainly use some stability.

However, when it comes to assessing talent or the NFL Draft, there is never a set formula, and this is no different.
EXCLUSIVE: Ryan Poles discusses Chicago Bears offseason, free agency, NFL draft & more
In light of this, The Athletic reported on some intriguing remarks made by Bears general manager Ryan Poles regarding the team they will select in the draft.

He expressed great confidence in his staff’s ability to assess quarterbacks from a football perspective, but they also need to do a good job of evaluating the individual.

“I have great faith in our ability to identify potential on the field. We need to understand the human being,” Poles remarked. You have to have everything right, especially in this city as a quarterback. You need to be mentally and physically robust, and you need to be able to block things out. I really need to learn more about people, thus.
Actually, it doesn’t appear possible at this point for any team to pass on Williams at the top slot; it would take a catastrophe or a significant turn of events to do otherwise.

Will Caleb Williams get drafted by the Bears or land elsewhere?
However, some have questioned his toughness in light of his collegiate troubles against winning teams, and most executives found it absurd that he would want a share of whichever team selected him in the draft.

In addition, there are others who question Williams’ suitability for playing for such a team, given that the quarterback for the Bears will have to perform very well in the bitter weather.

In any event, the Bears shouldn’t overthink this since they can’t afford to miss this opportunity.
