“While Byron Young racked up eight sacks as a rookie in 2023, the team’s exterior pass rushers as a whole struggled to win consistently,” according to the Bleacher Report. “The Rams have just under $40 million in cap space available this offseason, according to Over The Cap, and stars like Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford are nearing retirement.

It would be worthwhile for them to go big this summer and make one final run for another Lombardi Trophy before Stafford and Donald retire.” Young was moved to the 49ers before the season’s trade deadline for a third-round draft pick. Now that the former second-overall pick is headed upwards following his ruptured ACL in 2021, his price is at its lowest point.
