DEAL AGREED: New Orlean Saint Insider Has Reveal Saint Are Set to Land Tennessee Volunteers Top QB as Perfect Back up to Derek Carr

The New Orleans Saints have announced that Derek Carr will be their starting quarterback next season. After a divisive first year with the organization, in which Carr started all 17 games as New Orleans finished 9-8, the Saints are hopeful that Klint Kubiak and his new offensive staff will get more out of Carr and the offence.

Even with Carr set as QB1, choosing his backup will be critical. The backup quarterback position is rarely discussed, yet it is often a necessary position for success. It just takes one play for Derek Carr to be injured, and the backup quarterback is called upon to step in.

With New Orleans’ QB2 position currently available, The saint have identify Sam Hartman and Joe Milton,  as idea Back up QB

1. Selecting a late-round quarterback.
This idea is similar to what the Saints did with Jake Haener last season. It seems likely that the Saints will select another late-round quarterback. Multiple solutions may make a lot of sense for New Orleans. The team might choose someone like Joe Milton, who requires a lot of development but has shown tremendous potential.

The Saints may also go with someone like Sam Hartman, who has extensive college experience and can lead an offence.

There are more alternatives, but these are the two that stood out to me. This would be a good alternative for the Saints to locate a backup quarterback who could also be the franchise quarterback in the future.
