The Cleveland Browns’ receiving corps may strengthen ahead of the 2024 NFL season. Amari Cooper has always been reliable, but he isn’t getting any younger.
While he is still expected to be the team’s top target downfield in 2024, the Cleveland Browns appear to require another great and effective wide receiver following a season in which tight end David Njoku finished second on the team in terms of receiving yards, trailing Cooper. For that reason, should the Browns pursue the Buffalo Bills’ pending free agent wideout, Gabriel Davis? According to Jacob Roach of Browns Wire, Cleveland should not approach Davis at all.
I believe that every player should make as much money as possible since you never know when it may end, but the Browns should not be the team that gives him that amount. There are times when he appears to vanish and lacks the necessary components to be a top choice, and if you are paying $13 million or more per year, he must have more upside for it to be worthwhile.
