The Washington Commanders began their NFL draft process on Monday at the annual scouting combine in Indianapolis, with new general manager Adam Peters revealing that he will interview several of the draft’s top quarterbacks.
Washington has the second pick in April’s draft. Following a disappointing season with quarterback Sam Howell, all indications lead to Washington drafting a rookie to take snaps in 2024.
Peters stated that he had not met any of this year’s quarterback candidates in person prior to the combine. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the front office hopes to meet with elite quarterbacks such as USC’s Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, and LSU’s Jayden Daniels.
