BREAKING NEWS: Rams Are Reportedly in Board Agreement to Land Title Winning WR After Being Cut by Chiefs

The Los Angeles Rams had one of the finest passing attacks in the league last season, and a quality wide receiver trio might improve it even more. The Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champions, are allegedly releasing veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling, and the Rams could be an intriguing destination for him.

This past season, the Rams boasted one of the top receiver corps in the league, and Matthew Stafford led the way. If the Rams were to add an experienced player like Valdes-Scantling as a seasoned presence, it could push them over the top. Although the 29-year-old receiver had a poor year last season, he finished with just under 700 receiving yards in 2022. He provides a depth option for whichever club he is on, which would complement the Rams’ roster.

Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are both slower, but they excel after the catch and create their own plays in open space. As a result, Valdez-Scantling would have more room because teams prioritize their great players. Tutu Atwell, 24, already poses a significant danger to the team. However, the veteran presence that Valdes-Scantling would bring should push the team to consider signing the free-agent wide receiver.
