DEAL AGREED :Houston Texans GM has agreed to Claim About Potential Deal With One Major CJ Stroud Target

Nick Caserio and the Houston Texans’ front office have a full plate this offseason. With over 30 approaching free agents, the Texans have a lot of work to do if they want to maintain their form from the 2023 NFL season. While the immediate pending free agents are the Houston Texans’ top priorities, it is not too early to consider what to do with wide receiver Nico Collins, who will be a free agent at the end of the 2024 NFL season.

To that end, Caserio appeared to indicate that the Texans are willing to sign Collins to a contract extension, but he also hinted that any negotiations with the wideout would have to wait for the time being. When questioned about Collins and if he thought he could work out a contract extension with the wide receiver and his agency, Caserio expressed optimism.

Nick Caserio Says the Houston Texans Have 'Zero Interest' in Trading Deshaun Watson, Which is Hilarious
Drew Rosenhaus represents Collins, as well as Greenard and numerous other Texans players who have previously signed contracts. However, Caserio stated that the Texans will most likely wait until after free agency to begin conversations concerning Collins.
The Texans signed Collins to a four-year, $4.87 million contract in 2021.
In 2023, he was one of quarterback CJ Stroud’s favourite downfield weapons, finishing with 1,297 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 80 receptions and 109 targets, a career best.
Collins, who has developed a strong rapport with Stroud, who appears to be a franchise quarterback for the Texans, is likely to be retained by Houston after 2024. However, nothing is certain until he puts ink on paper.
