The 30-year-old had a slow year in terms of interceptions, but his other stats appeared to be solid. He concluded the year with a career-high 122 total tackles, including 80 solo tackles. Despite his age, Byard still provides a strong blend of pass coverage and tackling skills, which may benefit any team, particularly the Rams. He turns 31 in August, but he could provide everything the Rams need to win right now
For Rams If the Rams sign a player like Byard, he will add a senior presence to a young defence that already includes Aaron Donald. He would also bring the same presence to the secondary level.
