ESPN NEWS UPDATE: Atlanta Braves’ Officials Reportedly ‘Concerned’ About Knee injury of MVP and Brave Fans Favourite

Ronald Acuna Jr., the Atlanta Braves’ superstar, has been diagnosed with inflammation in his surgically repaired right knee and is being sent for additional tests. While Acuna Jr. is not concerned about his knee, team management are allegedly “concerned.”
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Atlanta Braves’ team management are “concerned” about Ronald Acuna Jr.’s surgically repaired right knee.

Per Nightengale:

Atlanta officials are clearly concerned about Ronald Acuna’s right knee. He will go to Los Angeles for an assessment by Dr. Neal ElAttrache to establish the source of inflammation around the meniscus in his surgically repaired right knee.
If arthroscopic surgery is required, he will begin the season on the disabled list.

That’s a big “if” in terms of surgery, but the fact that it’s being discussed openly is disturbing. Acuna Jr. was scratched from a spring training game earlier this week after being diagnosed with irritation in his knee, which he had surgery on for a ruptured ACL in 2021.

Acuna Jr., one of baseball’s top players, is only 26 years old. He has already won four All-Star games, three Silver Slugger Awards, Rookie of the Year, and MVP. He was also on the Braves’ 2021 World Series roster, although he was out for much of the season after injuring his ACL.
Acuna Jr. is coming off one of the best seasons we’ve ever seen, hitting.337 with 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases. He also had a.416 on-base percentage.

His lifetime batting average is.292, with 161 home runs and 180 stolen bases. He helped the Braves win the National League East for the second consecutive year in 2023, and they will be the division’s favourites in 2024.
