Red Bull star Max Verstappen defends his father after Horner criticism, says he is 'not a liar'
Last week, Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen was linked with a move to the Silver Arrows after his father Jos was seen speaking with Toto Wolff.

Verstappen was questioned ahead of this weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah whether he planned to stay with Red Bull until the end of his contract.

The Dutchman stated, “That has always been the intention of signing.” That is why we signed for so long to be here, and of course it is about the car’s performance starting in 2026.

“It’s a bit of question marks with new regulations but I knew that when I signed my contract.”

Verstappen continued: “But I also know what they’ve done for me in my career. The objective is to continue with this team because I enjoy it and am content within it. As long as we do well, there is no need to leave.”
Current Mercedes driver George Russell was also asked if Verstappen could join him next season. The Brit stated, “Any team wants to have the best driver lineup possible. Currently, Max is the best driver on the field. So, if any team had the opportunity to sign Max, they would jump at the chance.

“The question is more about the opposite side, both his and Red Bull’s. Obviously there is a lot going on there. We don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, and it’s ultimately none of our concern right now.”
