BREAKING NEWS: Alabama are Reportedly on The Verge of Signing Five-Star USC QB After a Huge Contract Agreement

Julian Lewis, a five-star quarterback from Carrollton, Georgia, committed to USC in August 2023.

That’s a rather long commitment in today’s recruiting environment, but Lewis’ apparent strong commitment to the Trojans hasn’t stopped several other major teams from attempting to trade him before all is said and done.

According to On3, Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, and Georgia are all still vying for Lewis’ commitment, but the Crimson Tide appears to be gaining ground.

First and foremost, Lewis has made several trips to Tuscaloosa, including a visit last week to meet incoming head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff. Things at Alabama have undoubtedly altered since Nick Saban’s retirement, but Tim Watts of On3 reports that Lewis is extremely comfortable with the Crimson Tide.
All DeBoer and his staff (particularly new offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan) are trying to do now is demonstrate Lewis why the Tide are a better fit for him than the Trojans.

“All the feedback has been good,” Watts reported following Lewis’ visit to Alabama. “To be clear, this is a guy who feels right at home at the University of Alabama. He has visited on and off throughout the years, so there isn’t much to learn about the city, campus, and so on. He’s coming to see DeBoer’s offence. (Offensive Coordinator) Nick Sheridan is the play-caller.

“That was the most interesting thing to him—and he got a lot of it.” He had a lot of discussions with DeBoer and Sheridan. And he got to see the proof of the pudding, which is exactly what they plan to do.”

If DeBoer can persuade Lewis to flip, he will most likely be remembered as the crown jewel of Alabama’s 2025 class. According to the 247Sports Composite, Lewis is the No. 2 quarterback prospect in his class.
