Dan Quinn is organizing Cowboys East in Washington.
ESPN’s John Keim reported on Sunday that the Washington Commanders will sign cornerback Noah Igbinoghene. The 24-year-old Igbinoghene played for the Dallas Cowboys last season under new Commanders coach Quinn, who formerly served as Dallas’ defensive coordinator.
Igbinoghene, a first-round choice in the 2020 NFL Draft (No. 30 overall), now spends more time on special teams than defence. But he fills that duty admirably, even scoring the Cowboys’ first touchdown of the 2023 season by returning a blocked field goal 58 yards to the house in Week 1 against the New York Giants.
Igbinoghene joins Quinn’s roster of returning players this offseason. Earlier this month, the Commanders hired former Cowboys defensive end Dorance Armstrong, as well as a well-known former Dallas Pro Bowl player.
