Mitchell enjoyed a stellar undergraduate career, earning two national titles at the University of Georgia before transferring to the University of Texas to complete his studies. He contributed significantly to Texas’ first berth in the College Football Playoff.
But how good was Mitchell during his college career? His freshman season showed potential, with 29 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns. He also averaged 14.7 yards per reception. However, his sophomore season at Georgia did not go as planned due to a high ankle sprain, which limited him to 9 receptions for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns in only 6 games.

However, Mitchell’s final season at the University of Texas resulted in an offensive explosion. Mitchell had 55 receptions for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns across 14 games. He averaged 15.4 yards per reception.

Mitchell receives targets. He catches almost everything thrown his way. He took defenders away from Xavier Worthy, allowing him to accumulate over 1000 receiving yards. Mitchell, a 6-4 beast on the outside, is precisely what Josh Allen and the Bills offence have been needing. If Mitchell is selected in next month’s draft, Buffalo’s offence will be the one to watch all season.
