“Tampa Gonna Be Mad They Let Me Go”- Ex – Bucs King promise to unleash Hell

Bucs sack the king. After five seasons in Tampa Bay, Shaq Barrett is now a proud member of the Miami Dolphins.

Joe struggles to type that.

Shaq is a famous Buccaneer, and he’s definitely better than every Bucs edge rusher/outside linebacker who isn’t named YaYa Diaby. Nonetheless, the Bucs parted ways with Shaq to conserve salary cap space and because Shaq’s performance had deteriorated.

Shaquil Barrett Sends Strong Message to Buccaneers After Dolphins Signing

Ask Shaq, and he’ll tell you that you felt great last season, but the stats didn’t materialize. With Shaq at 31 years and 17 months removed from a torn Achilles, the Bucs are counting on younger legs.

Shaq told the Palm Beach Post he is banking on himself.

“A lot to prove,” said Barrett, who was fired by Tampa Bay. “Getting cut from another squad, in particular, adds even more gasoline to the flames. And I’m like, the Dolphins are going to be happy they signed me. Tampa is going to be upset that they let me go.”

Joe is pulling for Shaq. Joe even watched Jason Pierre-Paul play for the Ravens and wished him success. Same with Warren Sapp on the Raiders and Simeon Rice on the Broncos near the end of his career.

Will Tampa Bay “be mad” because they let Shaq leave? Joe certainly hopes so, especially if Shaq only gets 4 1/2 sacks again this season.
