After spending his first five NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, top wide receiver Stefon Diggs was given the opportunity to elevate his game with the Buffalo Bills and standout quarterback Josh Allen.
Fortunately for Buffalo, Diggs elevated his game once he joined the Bills, earning All-Pro honours in his debut season and becoming a Pro Bowler in four consecutive seasons following his arrival in 2020.
Diggs has been one of the most reliable wide receivers in the NFL since becoming Allen’s favourite downfield target in Buffalo, but the Bills have failed to win a Super Bowl in each of his four seasons.
With the Bills failing to meet expectations with Diggs on the roster, the outspoken wide receiver has become a nuisance in Buffalo, and the organization may be losing patience with the veteran wideout.
ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe covered Diggs’ status with the squad and how the team will replace him the first chance they get on “First Take.”
“The Buffalo Bills are going to tolerate him until they can replace him,” Sharpe stated in an interview.
Sharpe may be on to something here, as it appears Diggs is overstaying his welcome in Buffalo since he is continuously dissatisfied despite playing the best football of his career and being a potential Super Bowl title contender.
Diggs tends to make controversy every year, and it’s only a matter of time before the squad is fed up and ready to move on.
