Kalen DeBoer is following up where Nick Saban left off at Alabama, at least in terms of recruitment.
His 2025 Crimson Tide class is slowly but steadily filling in, and it just got another significant addition. Abduall Sanders, a four-star linebacker from Santa Ana, California, has announced his commitment to Alabama.
Importantly for the Crimson Tide, it appears that DeBoer was able to persuade people that he can keep the program as a title contender going ahead. Saban may be retired, but DeBoer is clearly stating that there will be no drop-off.
Bama feels like home, but I also believe in Coach DeBoer and his staff’s vision, and I’m eager to get started,” Sanders told On3.
“I’m very close with Coach [Kane] Womack, Coach DeBoer and Coach [Courtney] Morgan, and they plan to develop me into a player that can possibly build the team and continue the winning tradition at Bama.”
Sanders is the No. 36 linebacker in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports composite.
He choose Alabama over Ohio State and Tennessee.
