DEAL AGREED: Brown GM Andrew Berry Travels Western Kentucky to Complete Deal for Top Propsect Receiver link with Multiple NFL Team

The Cleveland Browns already improved their receiving corps this offseason by trading for Jerry Jeudy. The former Denver Broncos first-round pick has also inked a three-year contract extension. However, Cleveland may not be done making changes at the position.

Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday and mentioned Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley. Schultz referred to him as Deebo Samuel 2.0 and then named numerous teams who plan to bring him in as a top-30 recruit. One of these teams was the Cleveland Browns.

Schultz noted that Corley might be an early pick on Day 2, making it difficult for the Browns to add him because they are not on the clock until No. 54. Still, they’re serious enough to bring him in as one of their 30 visits, which means he may be a target if he’s still there after they’re on the clock.

Browns have competition within the division for Corley.
Interestingly, Schultz identified eight teams, three of which are in the AFC North. That would be the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Outside of the division, the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers are all bringing Corley in before the draft.]

Corley accumulated 3,035 yards on 259 receptions and 29 touchdowns with the Hilltoppers. He also gained 92 yards rushing during his career. He’s listed at 5’11” and 215 pounds and is noted for his ability to break tackles and gain yards after the catch.

With Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore both scheduled to hit free agency in 2025, the Browns could want to add Corley to avoid having to overpay next offseason.
