After spending his entire NFL career with the Las Vegas Raiders, veteran quarterback Derek Carr joined with the New Orleans Saints after being released by his draft team, hoping to resuscitate his career in the Big Easy.
Unfortunately, Carr’s first season in New Orleans was underwhelming, with the Saints missing the NFL playoffs after finishing 9-8 in 2023.
Although Carr’s first year with the Saints was forgettable, the squad showed some indications of promise with the veteran quarterback behind center, and it appears that he wants to take it to the next level next season.
Barstool NOLA wished Carr a happy birthday with a highlight of a spectacular touchdown throw he threw last season, and he vowed more to come in 2024.
“I appreciate your hard work… There will undoubtedly be more to come. “God bless!” Carr said.
However, it is unclear how the Saints will perform offensively next season, as the team failed to create much of a splash in free agency, particularly after parting ways with veteran wide receiver Michael Thomas.
Carr and his teammates will have their work cut out to put on an offensive display next season, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers retaining their roster mostly intact and the Atlanta Falcons making significant upgrades in the NFC South.
