Driskel’s football career began in college, where he represented both Florida and Louisiana Tech. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft, which marked the beginning of his professional career. Driskel has since traveled extensively as a quarterback, having played for the Lions, Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, and Cleveland Browns.
Driskel made his first start for the Lions during the 2019 NFL season after starter Matthew Stafford was injured. Driskel was named the starter for Detroit’s game against the Chicago Bears, where he threw one touchdown and one interception for 269 passing yards. He later had two touchdown passes and 209 passing yards in a loss against the Dallas Cowboys.

Driskel’s NFL career record as a starter is 1-11, with 2,394 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Bottom Line: Good luck, Driskel.

While Jeff Driskel’s overall win-loss record isn’t very outstanding, his league experience makes him an invaluable asset to the Commanders. Driskel’s experience of the game gives Washington a viable option if Marcus Mariota or Jake Fromm are injured.

He has proven professionalism throughout his career, and we wish him the best of luck with his upcoming term with the Commanders.
