DEAL AGRRED: Record-Breaking Quarterback Prospect Has Admit He Want And Will Love to Play For Broncos

Did Oregon quarterback Bo Nix just offer Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton an elevator pitch?

On a recent episode of former NFL quarterback and current ESPN commentator Robert Griffin III’s podcast, Nix stated that he would love to play for Denver.
Nix is accurate, as is Brees, who has the NFL’s second-highest completion percentage (67.7%). In his final season with the Ducks, he shattered the NCCA’s completion percentage record (77.45% over 14 games). This attribute may appeal to Payton, who was the Saints’ head coach from 2006 to 21.

Looking back on Bo Nix's incredible journey ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft

According to Mike Klis of KUSA-TV in Denver, Nix spoke with the Broncos on Tuesday, indicating that the team may be interested in the 24-year-old signal-caller.

“That would be a blast playing for a coach like that,” Nix stated on the episode of “RG3 and The Ones.” “He’s well-known for his work with former Saints quarterback Drew Brees. It was a rapid game with a lot of timing, which I enjoy. That is what we did so well here at Oregon.”

The Broncos could select Nix with the 12th overall choice in the draft or wait to see if he falls. The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman predicts that Denver will acquire the No. 27 overall pick from the Arizona Cardinals to choose the 2023 Heisman finalist.

“He’s probably the best decision maker of the three (Pac 12 QBs),” a coach told Feldman. “He can diagnose problems rapidly. He lacks the arm talent of [Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.] and [Southern California’s Caleb Williams], but I don’t think he’s far behind.”

Ducks Bo Nix Should Be A Top 20 In 2024 NFL Draft

Denver urgently needs a quarterback. Jarrett Stidham, the presumed starter, went 1-1 in two starts last season, completing 60.6 percent of his passes for 496 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a below-average 31.1 QBR. Backup Ben DiNucci has only made one start in his career.

Don’t be surprised if the Broncos target Nix in the draft, especially because he appeared to complement Payton.
