LIFE IN PRISON: Louisville Man Sentenced Life in Prison in Federal Prison for Bomb Hoax And Assault

Louisville, KY – A guy from Louisville, Kentucky, was sentenced to one year and five months in prison Wednesday for supplying false information and hoaxes, as well as assaulting, resisting, and impeding federal officials and workers.

The announcement was made by US Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky and Special Agent in Charge Kelly Moening of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration’s Louisville Field Office.

According to court filings, Cameron Hyatt, 30, was sentenced to one year and five months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for one count of giving false information and hoaxes and three counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding a United States officer or employee. Hyatt was also required to pay $11,201.70 in restitution.

On April 17, 2023, Hyatt threatened to attack an IRS processing plant where he had previously worked as a contract employee. Furthermore, on April 20, 2023, Hyatt assaulted, refused, and obstructed three TIGTA Special Agents in connection with his arrest for the behavior he committed on April 17, 2023.

There is no parole under the federal system.
