Trevor Larnach, who was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, launched a two-run shot to right in the first inning, putting the Twins ahead 2-1.
The Tigers scored twice in the third inning because to their pace and quick hitting. Meadows drew a one-out walk and stole second, while Canha struck out. Meadows scored on Pérez’s single to the left. Pérez then stole second and scored on Carpenter’s shift-beating single to the empty shortstop hole.

Minnesota will send RHP Bailey Ober (0-1, 6.57) to the mound.Detroit scored another run in the sixth when Pérez tripled and scored on Carpenter’s third hit. However, the Twins knotted the game in the bottom half thanks to two Tigers outfield miscues.
After Edouard Julien walked, Ryan Jeffers hit a fly ball to short right that Pérez overran, putting runners on second and third with no outs. Flaherty almost got out of the jam by striking out Alex Kiriloff and Larnach. However, on a full-count pitch, Byron Buxton launched a high fly to left that carried to the warning track, where Carpenter dropped it for a two-run double.
