Many people’s fantasy scenario this draft season is for LSU’s Jayden Daniels to be taken by the Las Vegas Raiders in some manner, shape, or form.
This is because he began his undergraduate career at Arizona State under current Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce before transferring to LSU and winning the Heisman Trophy.
Daniels was interviewed on Night Cap alongside NFL legends Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson about perhaps playing for the Raiders.
“I want to go there. “I want to go wherever my name is called,” Daniels told the NFL legends during the interview.
As fantastic as this sounds, it appears implausible.
Las Vegas currently holds the 13th pick in the first round.
They would have to give up a lot of assets to move up into the top five, or they could simply wait and pray for a miracle.
It just doesn’t seem possible.
But, again, this is the NFL Draft.
Crazy things happen all the time.
As of now, the widespread consensus is that Daniels could be the next quarterback to go after Caleb Williams of USC is picked first overall by the Chicago Bears.
Will the Washington Commanders take Daniels at No. 2?
Will a surprise team, such as the Las Vegas Raiders, come out of nowhere to draft him?
It’s just one of the many exciting aspects of this year’s draft.
