According to ESPN analyst Adam Schefter, the Atlanta Falcons are facing significant tampering allegations and might lose draft picks. The tampering charges come from the Falcons’ acquisition of former free agency Kirk Cousins.
Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Falcons are now being investigated for tampering. According to Schefter, the penalties for both teams will “likely involve draft picks.” The league may issue disciplinary sanctions as early as this week.

Atlanta currently has the 8th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. They have eight draft picks, with at least one in each round except the seventh.
Schefter stated in the piece that tampering instances in the past have frequently resulted in lost draft picks. This contains the Miami Dolphins’ first and third-round picks in 2023/24, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs’ third and sixth-round picks in 2016/17.
