The Buffalo Bills are likely to trade up the draft board to obtain a top-tier receiver.
After dealing Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, Buffalo now has an opening at WR1, and one draft expert reports that general manager Brandon Beane is considering Washington’s Rome Odunze to fill that place.
ESPN’s Matt Miller appeared on the Dan Patrick Show and made a daring prediction for the Bills on draft night.
“I think Buffalo would love to move heaven and earth to get Rome Odunze,” Miller went on to say. “I completely agree with this strategy.”
Odunze, a potential Top 10 choice, would almost certainly force the Bills to move up from their present first-round position of 28th overall to draft him.
“If you could take this year’s first, next year’s first and get a Rome Odunze in the Top 10 potentially,” Miller went on to say. “I believe Buffalo is one of the few teams where you can make the argument that you’re close. You have the quarterback; you have the infrastructure. You require that rookie wide receiver. You need the guy getting $5 million a year who can be one of the best players in his position.”
Odunze, an All-American, topped all NCAA FBS players in receiving yards (1,640), helping Washington reach the CFP National Championship Game.
