Tennessee Volunteers head coach Josh Heupel provided an injury update for running back Cameron Seldon. Cameron Seldon, a Tennessee running back, is the Vols’ No. 2 back entering next season. He shone during his true freshman season, amassing 25 carries for 106 yards in four regular-season games and a lengthy stint in the Citrus Bowl.
However, he underwent surgery earlier this offseason, and his return is expected around season launch. Tennessee has not added a running back through the NCAA Transfer Portal because they are confident in their current roster. Head coach Josh Heupel spoke with the media earlier this week to provide an update on Seldon’s progress and where he anticipates him returning this season.
“Everything has gone extremely well in his rehabilitation process,” Heupel stated. He’s done a wonderful job of adhering to the guidelines set by our medical experts. We expect him to continue to improve his health throughout the summer and be ready when the season begins.”
