JUST IN: Ex-Royals Top Most Experienced Outfielder Has Completely Turned Things Around At Target Field with His Final Decision Regarding His Future

After a dismal start to his White Sox career, someone has finally stood up for the team. Following their game against the Tampa Bay Rays last week, Chicago was picking up some much-needed wins. They achieved just that, sweeping the Rays before facing the Minnesota Twins, who quickly defeated them in a division rivalry sweep. Their three-game winning streak against the Rays was ended. The White Sox returned to their former glory.

However, out of the Tampa Bay series, one White Sox player appeared to have found himself. He’s now showcasing his talent and looking like he’s worth the money the White Sox paid to sign him a while back.

Andrew Benintendi Is Finding His Game.

Red Sox Shockingly Release Prospect Acquired In Andrew Benintendi Trade - Sports Illustrated Inside The Red Sox
Andrew Benintendi, the Sox’s outfielder, has finally begun to play like the player they expected him to be. He has improved in recent games and can be credited with helping the White Sox win a limited number of games. He also helped them keep up with the Twins in the series. Benintendi’s walk-off home run and timely batting helped them win against the Rays.

He is starting to show up, which is exactly what the White Sox need.
During Chicago’s weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals, Benintendi had a.195 batting average, slightly lower than the Mendoza line, with a 500 OPS. He’s batted 122 times and has nine runs, three home runs, 13 RBI, 23 hits, and 23 strikeouts. These figures don’t indicate many positive things right now, but they should improve if Benintendi can maintain his current form.

One thing these figures don’t indicate is his outstanding performance versus the Rays. As previously said, Benintendi was directly responsible for one of the wins over the Rays. He hit a walk-off home run to help secure the much-needed victory. It was spectacular, and it helped the Sox avoid full humiliation. Despite this, they are still dealing with the aftermath of their series against the Twins.

Can Benintendi Keep It Up?

Andrew Benintendi's major-league debut doesn't go according to plan
As long as Benintendi can keep playing as he has been, the White Sox will have the consistency they lack. They rank 29th in the majors in terms of batting average (.211), 30th in on-base percentage (.272), and OPS (.597). The nine-year veteran, on the other hand, is not unfamiliar with poor starts to seasons. While power is not his primary emphasis, he is aware of his abilities in that capacity. Since moving to Chicago, he has a.252 batting average and a.656 OPS.
His walk-off home run against the Rays was the first of his career. It was also the first time a White Sox hitter hit two home runs in the same game, one of which was a walk-off. Tyler Flowers last did this on September 8, 2014, against the Oakland Athletics.
Despite their recent breakout success, the White Sox require assistance. Benintendi has demonstrated his ability to do so, without a question, but more will be required.
