Milwaukee Bucks news: Until Giannis Antetokounmpo makes a clear statement about his desire to remain in Milwaukee, trade rumours will follow the former back-to-back MVP throughout the summer.
This is not surprising given the Bucks’ last two seasons of early first-round exits. At this point, fans and commentators alike are questioning Antetokounmpo’s commitment to the club in the midst of the crisis.
Milwaukee Bucks News: ‘No Rumblings’ about Giannis Antetokounmpo Wanting to Leave
In a recent interview on ESPN’s Get Up program, league insider Briand Windhorst provided an important update on Giannis and the Bucks’ future prospects. According to Windy’s sources, Antetokounmpo does not appear to be thinking about leaving Milwaukee this summer.
This comes from Joseph Zucker of Bleacher Report:
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, there have been ‘no rumbles’ indicating that Giannis Antetokounmpo is considering his future with the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Windhorst indicated Monday on Get Up that “we’ll see how the offseason plays out,” according to Zucker.
Brian Windhorst is a pretty credible source, so Bucks supporters should rest easy for the time being. The plugged-in writer did, however, imply that things in Milwaukee might change quickly as the offseason progresses, bringing us all back to square one.
As he has done in previous years, it appears that only a broad statement from Giannis will dismiss all of the rumours linking him to what could be a game-changing transfer away from Milwaukee.
