SAINT UPDATE: Saints Have Officially Terminated The Contract Of Recently Signed QB As Sanctioned By Head Coach Allen Dennis

The New Orleans Saints have made some moves at the quarterback position this summer. Derek Carr has been the mainstay, along with Jake Haener. The Saints have signed Nathan Peterman and rookie Spencer Rattler to the roster. They have now removed another veteran from the group.

Nick Underhill reported that the Saints waived Kellen Mond on Wednesday.
They also released offensive lineman Tommy Kraemer.

The Saints’ quarterback situation now looks like this:
Derek Carr
Jake Hasener
Spencer Rattler
Nate Peterman
Expect New Orleans to maintain no more than three of these on the active roster and practice squad once the season begins.

Mond was not considered to be part of the Saints’ long-term plans. Regardless, he did not stay in the building for long. He will hunt for a backup position elsewhere.
