CANES NEWS UPDATE: “Thanks For The Love” – Miami Hurricane Are Officially Parting Ways With Key Most Experienced Offensive Line Commitment

Havana (Florida Gadsden County offensive lineman Lamar Williams is no longer part of Miami’s recruiting class.

On Thursday evening, the Hurricanes and Williams parted ways. The 6-foot-6, 270-pounder committed to the program in early February. During the winter ‘Contact Period’, Williams received offers from West Virginia, Houston, and Tulane.
He has a ’87’ grade and is rated as the No. 60 offensive lineman prospect in the Class of 2025.

Miami’s recruiting class now has six commitments, led by Leo (Indiana) Top247 tight end Brock Schott and Seffner (Florida) Armwood Top247 running back Girard Pringle Jr.

The group includes four-star tight end Luka Gilbert from West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, four-star wide receiver Waden Charles from Palm Beach Central, four-star linebacker Elijah Melendez from Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola, and quarterback Luke Nickel from Alpharetta (Ga.).
