HUGE BLOW: FSU Loss Key Experinced and Fans Favourite Star to Los Angeles Rams

Florida State football had an excellent 2023 season, achieving remarkable milestones in its fourth season under head coach Mike Norvell. The squad was made up of contributors who were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

We have a ton of draft coverage on the site from the last few weeks, so we won’t go over everything from the event again. However, if you missed anything, please go here to catch up.

Florida State exhibited its wares at the 2024 NFL Draft. If you want to grow and achieve your lifelong goals, come to Tallahassee. Norvell has transformed the Seminoles’ football program into a popular transfer destination for many individuals.

Former FSU DT Braden Fiske agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams

Most notably, the Seminoles signed Western Michigan defensive tackle transfer Braden Fiske last offseason. Fans were wondering how Fiske would fit into the defence when veteran defensive tackle Fabien Lovett Sr. confirmed that he will return to Tallahassee for his final season.

However, Lovett Sr. was injured during the season opener against the LSU Tigers. This allowed the coaching staff to rotate its players more to keep everyone healthy in preparation for the ultimate aim of reaching the College Football Playoff (thanks, committee…).

This decision earned Fiske extra valuable reps. People didn’t sure what to expect after he transferred from Western Michigan. During his four seasons with them, he recorded 148 total tackles (27 for loss) and 13.5 sacks.

Fiske was an excellent addition to the defensive line, complementing ultra-talented defensive end pieces like Jared Verse and Patrick Payton. He seemed to reserve his greatest effort for last, recording nine total tackles (4.5 for loss) and three sacks in the ACC Championship Game against Louisville.

This statistical record, combined with his outstanding performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, led the Los Angeles Rams to select him with the 39th overall choice in the 2024 NFL Draft. This allowed him to reconcile with his former teammate, defensive end Jared Verse.

Former FSU Football Star DT Braden Fiske's LA Rams Contract Details Released

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported on Fiske’s contract with the Rams.
This is an excellent recruitment tool for this coaching staff going forward. This is not to argue that Tallahassee possesses the same “flashiness” as places like Miami or Los Angeles. However, Norvell and his organization may sell the development that they obtain from their players, as well as the knowledge that they can change the lives of themselves and their loved ones.
